The Mug Collector

My favorite is at my parents' house and it says "I love you my little cabbage" in French

My roommate regularly jokes about my excessive amount of mugs and I know that I have a lot but I really thought that 20+ mugs was a normal amount but I’m starting to realize I have a few more than the average person. Last week I was making coffee while listening to Haley Heynderickx and her song The Bug Collector was playing and I thought to myself that I’m just a mug collector.

This isn’t all of my mugs. I have a few more in Brooklyn that I didn’t photograph (I ran out of energy) and I have quite a few in North Carolina that are even more sentimental because I’ve had them for like half my life.

How many mugs do you have? How are you doing? Summer is so weird. It’s warm and slow and sad and the air feels like velvet on the East Coast. I have a headache and I wake up thinking about everything I need to do and everyone I need to get back to and then I sit very still in my bed for as long as possible. I’m thinking of you.
